(Salinas)- On Friday, December 1st the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and City of Salinas will open a much-needed Temporary Homeless Warming Shelter located at 111 W. Alisal Street, Salinas 93901. Through the collaborated effort of Monterey County and City of Salinas, the new temporary shelter will provide dinner, bathrooms and a safe secure place for men, women and children to stay this winter season.
The shelter was designed to accommodate up to 70 homeless residents seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. from December 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018. Community Homeless Solutions will be providing the critical supportive services to individuals and families that need extra assistance progressing toward independent living.
